Perigee Super Moon 10/8/14 / by Bennett Photography

Did you know there was a super moon just the other night?
Where the moon is at its closest and brightest (about 15% brighter than that of a regular viewing of Lunar).

My tripod was set, sadly i only realised it was about to happen 20 minutes before the moon was up over my nearby mountain, so i opted for just the simple but effective, straight shot of the moon.

And here it is:

Taken with Nikon D300s, Sigma 70-200 f2.8, using a 2x teleconverter.

The next time we will see a supermoon is on the 9th of September 2014
